West Woods Golf Club
The West Woods Golf Club Golf Club area is a Colorado golf community that sits along the northwest edge of Arvada. The area has seen a lot of development in recent years, in part due to some magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains, the easy access to open space and outdoor activities, the old town charm and modern conveniences Arvada offers.
Arvada, like many Colorado cities has a mix of both well-established neighborhoods as well as recent developments. Situated in the northwest metro area, Arvada’s “Old Towne” has recently experienced a recent rejuvenation and is once again a destination for residents and visitors alike. Arvadans enjoy the city’s close proximity to the mountains and many outdoor activities, coupled with the conveniences of being in a major metropolitan area. For those interested in arts and culture, The Arvada Center offers a variety of productions. Situated about half-way between two major shopping malls, Flatiron Crossing and Denver West, the area enjoys all the conveniences one would expect in a major suburban area.
The location also allows for reasonably easy access to both Boulder and Denver. Among the many outdoor opportunities, nearby Standley Lake Regional Park is a 3,000 acre park that offers the somewhat rare amenity (in Colorado) of a large body of water, well-suited for boating and a variety of outdoor activities and is home to bald eagles, hawks, falcons and other wildlife.
West Woods Golf Club offers three, nine hole courses that offer a variety of course styles. A challenging public course, West Woods is a local favorite.
