South Suburban Golf Course

Long known by locals for its well-kept greens that could challenge a pro's touch, this Colorado golf community falls within the boundaries of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District.  South Suburban is a traditional-style, parkland course that is meticulously maintained, especially when considering how many rounds are played there.  Spend some time on the practice green…you’ll be glad you did.  Offering an 18 hole course and a 9 hole par 3, this is a good municipal that continues to be popular.

The real estate developments surrounding the course span from the late 1970's to the late 1990's.   Many homes backing to the eastern edge enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains.  The homes surrounding the course generally fall within two neighborhoods.  The main development, Heritage Greens is good sized and has the amenities to go along.  A park, pool, volleyball and tennis courts offer options for enjoying our summer days.  A small pocket of homes situated in the southwest corner of the course, The Fairways offer a nice, small enclave of relatively newer homes.

Located in Centennial Colorado, this area has good access to all major conveniences.  Park Meadows mall, a massive, modern shopping facility is a short drive away, and multiple restaurants and retailers are just outside the neighborhood.  A new shopping center, The Streets at Southglenn, which is presently under construction, will add another major shopping option very close by.

South Suburban provides a well-established suburban setting with a good, affordable public course.  These types of neighborhoods seem to have been growing in popularity of late as they are coming back in vogue.  Offering established landscapes, they provide a good alternative to the newer, less established areas, while still being in the suburbs.
