Saddle Rock Golf Club

   

Saddle Rock Golf Club’s course architect, Dick Phelps, designed many courses throughout the Metro Denver area. This Dick Phelps design came on the scene in 1997 and may just be some of his best work.  Located in south east Aurora, the Saddle Rock area is one of the Colorado golf communities that have helped to re-define the city of Aurora and was a major contributor to Colorado's golf boom.  

The course (and many of the homes along it) enjoys fantastic panoramic views of the Front Range, with some views stretching all the way down to Pike’s Peak outside of Colorado Springs.  Saddle Rock Golf Club is a challenging public course that is highlighted by several relatively severe elevation changes and forced carries, requiring the careful use of course management and club selection skills.  

The course works its way through a couple different neighborhoods that include patio homes, single family detached homes and some high end luxury homes as it works its way back to the clubhouse. 

The location has very good access to several major thoroughfares.  Nearby E-470 offers a very good connector to Denver International Airport, Parker Rd. is a direct route to the city of Denver and Arapahoe Rd. which bi-sects the Saddle Rock area connects the area with the Denver Tech Center, which is a large business district. The recent addition of a large, modern shopping “district”, The Southlands mall has brought even more shopping and dining options to an area that already had many conveniences nearby.
