Castle Pines Golf Club
Perhaps Colorado’s most famous golf course, the Golf Club at Castle Pines is the former home of Colorado’s only PGA tour event, The International. While the event may no longer be played, the Colorado golf community surrounding the Golf Club at Castle Pines is as wonderful an area as it ever was. Castle Pines is synonymous with luxury golf community living.
Castle Rock has more than its fair share of top-notch golf courses, and the Golf Club is the most exclusive of them all, with the possible exception of The Sanctuary (which is not open to memberships and doesn’t have real estate on it.) The golf community surrounding the Golf Club at Castle Pines is one of the most scenic and visually appealing in all of Colorado.
The overall area enjoys a wonderful mix of natural interest and beauty as well as modern convenience. Within a short drive to the Denver Tech Center and the town of Castle Rock, the convenience of the location is surprising because of the secluded feeling the area provides. Long established as one of Colorado’s premier luxury addresses, Castle Pines continues to grow and improve with each year.
Set amongst the bluffs just south of the Denver suburbs, the Castle Pines area offers a unique and inspiring setting. The Golf Club at Castle Pines is a Jack Nicklaus design that enjoys great views of the Front Range. This spectacular course incorporates dramatic elevation changes, forced carries and demanding par 5’s. Anyone who remembers Rich Beem clinging on after Steve Lowery’s double eagle during the 2002 International will agree, this course is well-suited for dramatic and challenging golf.
There are 2 quality public courses nearby as well. The Ridge at Castle Pines and Red Hawk Ridge both offer good rounds on upper-tier public courses. One nearby non-golf related attraction is Daniels Park. This park, designated as open space by the City and County of Denver, offers some of the most awe-inspiring views you will find anywhere in the country. Perched high on top of a bluff, the views from Daniels Park seem as if you are standing on top of the world. The panoramic view of the Front Range from this location has caused more than one person decide to make Colorado their home.
