Black Bear Golf CLub

Located just east of historic Downtown Parker Colorado, Black Bear Golf Club (formerly known as Canterberry) continues to be a local favorite public course.  The recent addition of a luxurious clubhouse has helped to cement its image as a higher-end public facility.  The golf community surrounding the course is generally established, with some pockets of real estate construction still taking place on the fringes of the area.

The town of Parker Colorado features a quaint “small town main street” feel.  The area, once a somewhat rural setting that attracted primarily equestrians and those seeking to get away from the metro area, has seen major growth since the late 80’s and early 90’s and today is a modern extension of the metro area.  With shopping, dining and entertainment nearby, plus great access to major thoroughfares like E-470 and Lincoln Blvd., the area is now a convenient and popular location.  A short drive to E-470 offers a quick connector to Denver International Airport as well.

Black Bear Golf Club presents a challenging course.  Try not to become distracted by the panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains to the west and the rolling plains to the east while you play, as you will need your focus to handle the multiple elevation changes and forced carries over several arroyos as the course meanders through the neighborhoods. The Black Bear (Canterberry) area does an exceptional job of blending its natural setting with good golf, nice homes and modern convenience while keeping touch with Parker’s history.
